Conventional Tokamaks Poster, Published August 2008

Without the support of the world-wide fusion community this would not have been possible and I would like to thank everyone who has given permission for photographs to be used. Unfortunately, the table has to be a subset of the full table that is available on this site, and already the text is rather small. However, I expect that people will use it as a point of reference, and nobody will read it from top to bottom.

This is an image of the poster that has been produced by with the assistance of the Public Relations team at EFDA-JET. It can now be downloaded as an Adobe Acrobat file. The poster is designed to be printed in A0 format, but I have found that it is readable at A1. Please click on the image to open a pdf file of the poster. This is a very large file, over 22 MBytes. If your browser 'times out' when you click on the link, try right-clicking and choosing "Save target/link as".

This final version of the poster includes a few changes received from the contributors during the last month and correction of a problem which caused it to print incorrectly on one printer. (* See below for details). Thank you to everyone who has helped to check that the contents are as accurate as possible. I regret that inevitably there will be other errors.

* If you downloaded a copy of the poster (file name JG07-414-1c-2008-08-14.pdf) between 14th and 21st August 2008, you may like to be aware of the following. I had one report of a problem printing the poster on a large Canon plotter at A0. The symptoms are that the title "Conventional Tokamaks from around the World" does not print, and then whenever the letters "fi" come together in the text they are also omitted from the printed copy. At least the problem is easily observable by comparison with the image above. If you download a new copy today (file name jg07-414-1c-2008-08-19.pdf), this problem should have been corrected.
